A Bridgeport man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for his role in the death of three people.
John Taylor, 35, was sentenced in New Haven federal court yesterday. Prosecutors say Taylor and the three others beat the victims to death with baseball bats over a drug dispute in 2005.
Prosecutors say Taylor testified against the others to avoid getting a life sentence.
Police say the victims -- 43-year-old Tina Johnson, her 40-year-old boyfriend, James Reid, and 54-year-old friend Basil Williams -- were found at an apartment on Charles Street.
