Diana Rosado cried as she watched a Facebook video Monday allegedly showing her 21-year-old daughter under the influence of drugs.
"She's on fentanyl and it's outrageous that people are sharing this video, which is heartbreaking to me - because I've spent years trying to get my daughter help. All we want to do is get her treatment so she doesn't end up passing away as a result of her addiction to fentanyl," Rosado told News 12.
Liz Evans, of Liberation Programs, a Bridgeport nonprofit whose mission is to help people impacted by addiction, says the video is "disgusting and heartbreaking."
"I think it's incredibly sad and really, really disheartening that images of people struggling and suffering are going viral," Evans said.
Courtney Dollar is a homeless outreach specialist at Liberation Programs.
"This isn't the first time I've seen a video of this nature - and the most disturbing part is that people are monetizing these videos. Using a person's pain to profit is outrageous and unacceptable," she said.
