A Bridgeport mom says she is worried for her son's safety after he was beaten up in a school bathroom.
The mom, who didn't want to be identified, says her 14-year-old son was attacked in a bathroom at John Winthrop Elementary School last week. She says the incident was caught on video and shared with other students at the school.
The video shows five students circled the victim. One teen punches the victim and then another sucker punches him.
The boy's mother says one of the teens in the video has been bullying her son since last year. She says she doesn't understand how this can happen at a place where he is supposed to be safe. She says she informed the principal about the bullying last year, but nothing was ever done. She says she is also upset because police are not filing criminal charges against any of the teens involved.
School officials say the students involved in the attack have been suspended. They say pending an investigation, the students will most likely be expelled.
