A local family erupted with cheers after a Bridgeport native won "America's Next Top Model."
As News 12 Connecticut reported, Keith Carlos has been competing on the show since August, and made it all the way to the season finale, which aired Friday night. Carlos says being a contestant on this season of America's Next Top Model has been surreal and full of learning experiences.
Though he played football in high school, it is his modeling career that has put him in the spotlight. News 12 spoke with Carlos, who now lives in Atlanta, via Skype. Carlos says he hopes to eventually get into acting, and continue to mentor children.
Carlos' mother says she is not surprised by her son's success. She said her son's experience on the show had ups and downs, but she expected it would end on a high note.
