Bridgeport officials say they've reported a local landlord to the Department of Health for having no heat or hot water in his building.
Residents at the apartment building on Olive Street say they've been complaining about the problem for weeks, but the landlord won't even take their calls.
They say their children and pets freeze at night and they're worried about their safety.
Each family tells News 12 they have space heaters, but they're afraid to use them because the electricity goes out when they turn the devices on.
Officials say the health department will be taking "immediate action" against the landlord. The landlord has not responded to requests for comment.
