Bridgeport officials urge residents who don’t have air conditioning to take advantage of cooling stations throughout the city.
The city has multiple cooling stations.
Bridgeport public libraries have all been opening their doors on Tuesdays to help people beat the heat.
City officials are encouraging the public to seek the safety of a cooling station if you don’t have AC.
“This is the first heat wave. Don't get caught, and don't let people we care about be the victims of what we've seen happen unfortunately in the past," said Bridgeport Mayor Ganim.
