The city of Bridgeport is now one step closer to getting high-speed ferry service.
The city received $2.2 million from the federal government to go towards the new terminal. The new ferry will have services to LaGuardia Airport and Manhattan. No definite construction date has been set, but the project is expected to begin within the next three to five years.
Meantime, residents can expect a brand new 17-bay Bus Terminal by May 2008. The cost of that project so far is $23 million.
