Bridgeport paints city blue to remember lives lost to cancer

It's all part of the 38th Annual Swim Across the Sound Marathon. Each banner honors a loved one or local business.

Blue banners are going up across Bridgeport as part of a tribute to those lost to cancer.
The city is partnering with Hartford HealthCare to "Paint the City Blue." Banners can be seen downtown at St. Vincent's Medical Center, St. Mary's by the Sea, and Captain's Cove.
It's all part of the 38th Annual Swim Across the Sound Marathon. Each banner honors a loved one or local business.
Money raised helps cancer patients with essentials like food, rent, and medicine.
