Parents in Bridgeport say they are concerned after video of a fight at Central High School went viral on social media.
According to police, a video of a fight between two girls in the cafeteria of the school was posted live on Facebook and Snapchat Tuesday by a student.
Some concerned parents brought the case to the attention of the Bridgeport Police Department, which they then immediately investigated. They say the case was ultimately handled by school administration.
"I see my daughter not being in a good environment," says parent Jennifer Cruz. She says the incident is a matter of public safety and can hurt the reputation of the school.
Officials say the students involved will likely end up getting expelled.
Police say they are urging students not to highlight the negative in their own schools by posting such videos. They say they are also urging parents not to become overly alarmed since nobody was seriously hurt.
