Police say the 53-year-old man operating a 2000 Saturn was struck by a gray Hyundai Sonata.

A 53-year-old Bridgeport man died Saturday, succumbing to injuries sustained in a hit-and-run crash, police say.
According to the initial investigation, a Bridgeport police unit on patrol observe a “serious motor vehicle collision” at the Barnum Avenue and Harriet Street intersection.
They say the 53-year-old man operating a 2000 Saturn was struck by a gray Hyundai Sonata.
“The suspects exited the vehicle and fled the area,” police said.
The Sonata had North Carolina plates HCZ1398.
The 53-year-old died at Bridgeport Hospital.
