Fairfield National beats Aruba, takes third place at Little League World Series
The Fairfield National team ended their magical run in the Little League World Series with a third-place finish – besting Aruba in their final game, 4-2.
The team will return to Fairfield where a parade will take place Monday night along Post Road and end at the Sherman Green.
Players and coaches are expected to receive a Key to the Town during a ceremony.
Fairfield lost Saturday in the U.S. Championship game to Nevada – but won hearts across the state. When the final out was recorded in the championship game, fans at a watch party applauded their efforts.
