The Bridgeport police chief said Sunday there will be grief counselors available Monday for officers following the recent death of a baby boy.
As News 12 reported, 1-year-old Michael Citron was found not breathing by his foster parents late Friday night.
He was pronounced dead at St. Vincent's Medical Center.
Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez says the experience was traumatic for all of his officers.
He says counselors will be available to anyone who needs them as they grieve for the child and his parents.
Police say the medical examiner's report on the baby's death could possibly come this week.
