Bridgeport police dedicated a new police boat to a fallen officer on Friday.

The boat was dedicated to late Officer Gerald DiJoseph who was shot in the head during a traffic stop on James Street in 1980.

The family of DiJoseph was present for the ceremony at Bridgeport Harbor.
