Bridgeport police are looking for the public's help in solving their last open murder case of 2017, to date.
Investigators say 23-year-old Alexander Davis died on New Year's Day three weeks after being shot.
Police Chief A.J. Perez says Davis described the person who shot him as an African-American man in his 20s with braided hair and wearing a T-shirt.
Investigators put together a photo array for Davis to look at, but he was intubated and unable to speak by the time they had it prepared.
Police are now reaching out to the public for help, and anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Bridgeport police.
