Bridgeport Public Schools announced Sunday that school will be closed on Monday due to staffing concerns.
Superintendent of Schools Michael Testani says that a high number of teachers have been reportedly exposed to COVID-19.
Previously, officials announced a handful of its schools will switch to full distance learning a week ahead of schedule.
They say Barnum, Blackham, Columbus, Edison, Fairchild Wheeler and the Waltersville schools would make the switch Monday.
The rest of the district is scheduled to go fully remote Nov. 23.
Testani said Monday would be treated as a weather-related school closure and the day would be made up later in the school year.
