After two years of renovations, the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum is once again open to visitors.
The 19th-century National Historic Landmark now features new archival spaces, an educational center, and refreshed areas like the Gift Shop and Rotunda.
"This project has given us heat and electricity on all floors," said Patsy Brescia, vice chairman of the museum's board. "It's opening opportunities for us for serious growth."
Museum staff credited the reopening to support from local and state leaders.
"I think I'm most proud of what this project is going to mean to the future of the mansion and to Norwalk," Brescia added.
