Puerto Rican pride was on display Sunday in Bridgeport as the 22nd annual Puerto Rican Day parade drew thousands of people to the streets.
The parade ended at Seaside Park, where spectators enjoyed a live music festival.
As Bridgeport gears up for a mayoral primary, it was also a great day for candidates to have their say.
"I like the festivities, I love the music, but I love the sense of family and community," said former Mayor Joe Ganim.
"We're just so thankful for the diversity that the Latino population in general but specifically the Puerto Ricans give us in this city," said current Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch
