The Bridgeport YMCA invited the public to support its early childhood education program for this Giving Tuesday.

The nonprofit held a fundraiser at Vazzy's on Broadbridge Road.

Carmen Colon from the Bridgeport YMCA said the program helps children whose families are homeless.

"Our goal today is to raise $20,000. It's not a lot of money, especially when we're giving away over $900,000 in scholarships for our early childhood education programs," said Colon.
