Bridgeport’s director of clinical services is on leave after being arrested last week.
Denzel Hunter was charged with second-degree threatening, unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct in Branford on July 2.
Hunter is now on paid leave pending an investigation, according to city officials.
Hunter is the lead of the police department’s crisis response team, which accompanies officers on calls involving people experiencing mental health crises.
