Children from the Bronx exercised and got a chance to play outside when they attended a fitness fair on the Grand Concourse Sunday.
In order to provide the children with a place to play, the Bronx Borough President?s Office and the Parks Department closed off part of the Grand Concourse.
The kids who attended were able to take part in free events ranging from hockey to yoga. The Contemporize Ballet Theatre was there to offer dance lessons as well.
Organizers say attendees discouraged by the weekend?s rainy weather will have other opportunities to participate in more free activities throughout the summer. They say the next event will be held July 15 in the Bronx.
