Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark announced that five people are indicted for a spree of violent gunpoint robberies throughout the Bronx.
Four men and a 16-year-old boy are facing charges of robbery, conspiracy, grand larceny and other related charges.
The group is accused of carrying out seven gunpoint robberies that targeted people wearing jewelry. The robberies happened over a span of two weeks, from Sept. 20 to Oct. 6.
They stole nearly $100,000 in jewelry, some of which has been recovered.
NYPD recovered one gun from one of the suspects and some of the stolen jewelry.
The suspects are 20-year-old Manuel Rivas, 20-year-old Wilfren Carbuccia, 29-year-old Anthony Perez, and 16-year-old John Doe. Police have not yet named the fifth suspect because they are still searching for him. The other four suspects are in custody.
The Bronx DA thanked her team and the police for helping them find the alleged criminals, saying, “It takes great teamwork and partnership to quickly solve and connect multiple incidents and bring the evidence needed to prosecute a case like this.”
