Bronx Week will kick off its 45th celebration on May 5 through May 15, and is jam packed with food, tours, guest performances and the Bronx Ball, according to organizers.
At the ball, the four 2016 Bronx Walk of Fame inductees will be honored and officially become inducted at the grand finale on May 15. Vincent Pastore and Eduardo Vilaro are two of this year's honorees. Pastore is best known for his role in "The Sopranos," and Vilaro is the CEO and artistic director of the nation's first Latino dance organization.
The Bronx borough president's office, with the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation and the Bronx Tourism Council, will come together to support the event.
Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. says this is an event that really showcases the diverse culture in the Bronx and highlights everything Bronx residents are proud of.
