A Bronx woman accused of pretending to be a doctor is facing up to 15 years in prison. Dolores Rodas, who practiced under the name "Carmen Lara," allegedly misled couples by pretending to be a fertility doctor. Officials say Rodas, who performed fake surgeries and treatments, scammed patients out of thousands of dollars. The 43-year-old has been charged with grand larceny, assault and reckless endangerment among other offensives.
