Brookfield crews responded to two separate fires this weekend, starting with a call just before 9 p.m. Saturday on Obtuse Road South.

Fire officials said heavy smoke was seen coming from the home, but the fire was contained to the flooring and did not spread.

No injuries were reported.

Crews returned to service around 7:30 a.m. Sunday for a second fire on Lexington Drive.

The window of the home was blown out and the siding was darkened with smoke.

Officials said the fire was located in a second-floor bedroom.

Both fires remain under investigation.
