Firefighters worked to put out the flames at another brush fire last night, this time in Highbridge.
Recently city officials announced we were under a drought watch, which means because of the lack of ran we are seeing dryer conditions than normal.
Fire officials said the blaze ignited just after 9 p.m. on Sedgwick Avenue between University Avenue in the park and took about two and half hours to put out the flames.
In the last five days we've seen four brush fires including the one on Sedgwick Ave, along with two in Van Cortlandt Park and one in Prospect Park last night.
Fire officials we've spoken to in recent days say these fires can be hard to control because they start and spread quickly.
As our News 12 meteorologists have been reporting we are under a fire weather warning until 6 p.m., tonight.
