A budget battle leaves funding for schools in limbo in New Milford.
The overall $101.5 million budget will head back to the town council for the second time after voters rejected the school budget.
The $63.3 million budget for schools failed by a narrow vote.
Residents did, however, approve of the town's $38 million plan.
A special town council meeting will held Thursday night, and the public is encouraged to attend to make budget recommendations.
