Beginning Oct. 8, indoor businesses like restaurants and personal services can expand to 75%capacity as part of phase 3, so long as social distancing rules are maintained.
Indoor entertainment venues can open at 50%, while outdoor private events can also increase to up to 150 people.
"The extra 25%, you know, is two or three tables," says Junior Filguerra of Brickhouse Wood Fired Pizza. "I think it's good for restaurants, especially for small restaurants that they have limited seats already as it is."
But it does come with added risk.
"I feel like it might raise the cases up," Filguerra said.
Gov. Ned Lamont says although the rollback number on schools is a 5% infection rate, officials say they'll look at a host of different metrics to determine if and when they have to pull back on phase 3.
Gov. Lamont says there's no timetable on when bars and nightclubs will be able to open.
