The Bronx Christian Fellowship held its second annual toy and clothes giveaway for those less fortunate in The Bronx.
The church was transformed into Santa's workshop with toys for all the children.
Pastor Tim English says the drive makes it easier for those less fortunate to have a good Christmas.
"People fall on hard times with the way the economy is right now," says English. "It's unbelievable, but there are people that really care and that?s what we want them to know."
Dozens of volunteers helped to wrap presents and cook dinner for the more than 500 Bronx residents who came out to the event.
For the volunteers, they took joy in helping those less fortunate than them.
"Christmas is all about giving," says Shatanya Purnell. "All about giving to the people. God will bless you in the end."
