Dozens of tenants of an apartment building on Newbold Avenue that was ravaged by fire last Thursday demand to know when they can go back home.
One of the residents says a representative of the Department of Buildings visited the site of the blaze, but was reluctant to give them any clear answers regarding the state of the building.
The management of the apartment complex says it is waiting for inspectors from the Department of Buildings to give tenants the OK to return home.
But even for those residents who were allowed back in the ordeal is not over. The management says that in the aftermath of the blaze, basic services like gas have been shut off in the building, and it has not been determined when they will be restored.
