Frustrations are boiling over at one Bronx apartment building as tenants are accusing their landlords of overlooking unsafe living conditions.
John Zykollari says his Pelham Parkway apartment needs to be repaired and that he will not pay rent until that happens. He says his ceilings are moldy and in bad condition because of the effects of heavy rainfall.
The Zykollaris and others say their landlords intimidate the tenants, many of whom are immigrants who don?t speak English well. The tenants say they?re finding other ways to voice their concern. Many have signed a petition.
New York City Housing Authority has 93 outstanding violations for the building on record.
