The woman responsible for the deaths of two men in Darien was sentenced in Stamford Superior Court Wednesday.
Police say Candice Blanks was drunk when she hit and killed Felipe Chagas, 19, and Lucas Silva, 22, while they were changing a tire on I-95 in Darien four years ago.
Blanks pleaded guilty to a DUI charge, and started her six-month sentence in jail Wednesday. More serious charges against Blanks were dropped in the case due to problems with evidence.

About a dozen family members of the victims were present at the sentencing, and expressed frustration with the process and the resolution.
