Bridgeport city officials toured the soon to be completed Dunbar Elementary School this afternoon.
Officials say the school is undergoing a $9 million renovation.
They say the renovation includes a new roof, boilers and a modern media center.
School board member Kedisha Coates is crediting the construction company with hiring locally.
Officials say construction will continue once the school year starts, but only when school is not in session.
Construction is expected to be finished in March.
