Students at Central High School held a memorial Thursday and are raising money to send the body of 16-year-old Lucas Ananais home to his family in Brazil.
Ananais was killed when the car he was riding in crashed into a tree on Monday morning.
His classmates are selling T-shirts and using the proceeds to send Ananais back to his family in Brazil .
The students have raised over a thousand dollars and even the school principal bought a shirt.
"I said, 'it?s definitely a good cause,'" Principal Alejandro Ortiz said. ?Keep doing what you?re doing. I?m sure that the family is really going to appreciate that.?
A wake will be held this Saturday for Ananais at the Luz de Paz Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
