The cleanup costs for the centuries-old New London church that collapsed last month are near $250,000, according to officials.
The city has placed a lien on the property to try and get back the money they spent to knock down the remains.
Costs include tens of thousands of dollars to police, fire and city employees who responded to the scene.
The rubble at the site is still piled high, and there has yet to be a decision on remediation.
Officials say engineers are still investigating a potential cause of the collapse.
