    – In effect from 11 a.m. Tuesday through 8 p.m. Wednesday for New York City. Heat index values will range from the upper 90s to around 102 degrees. Limit strenuous outdoor activity, stay hydrated, and check on vulnerable individuals.

  • Coastal flood statement

    – In effect around this evening's high tide cycle for the most vulnerable shoreline locations. Minor flooding of low-lying roads, parking lots, and shoreline areas is possible.

  • High risk of rip currents

    – Expected Tuesday afternoon and evening at Atlantic-facing beaches. Dangerous surf conditions are expected, and entering the ocean is strongly discouraged.

Wednesday night: Partly to mostly cloudy with a slight chance of an evening shower or thunderstorm. Lows in the upper 70s.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and still very warm, but not as oppressive. Highs in the lower 90s.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with lows in the middle 70s.

Friday: Sunny and warm with highs in the lower 90s.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with lows in the lower 70s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with increasing clouds and a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Highs around 90.
