Lingering showers give way to sunshine across The Bronx this week

A few showers may linger Tuesday before drier, sunnier weather arrives Wednesday.

The unsettled weather lingers into Tuesday, but conditions will gradually improve as the day goes on. A few showers are possible before skies begin to brighten, with temperatures remaining below average.

Sunshine returns Wednesday, bringing a pleasant break before warmth and humidity begin to build again. By Thursday and Friday, scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast. While not everyone will see rain, it's a good idea to keep an eye on the forecast if you have outdoor plans later this week.

Today: Mostly cloudy with a few lingering morning showers, followed by gradual improvement. Highs in the mid-70s.

Wednesday: Sunny and pleasant. Highs around 80 degrees.

Thursday: Partly sunny, warmer and more humid with scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Friday: Partly sunny with scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower to mid-80s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and warm. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with warm temperatures. Highs in the mid-80s.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a slight chance of a shower. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.
