Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton spoke to more than 1,000 supporters at the University of Bridgeport Sunday as part of a multistop tour through Connecticut.

State and local leaders from the Democratic party attended the event, which was free and open to the public.

With Tuesday's primary in sight, Clinton discussed topics like gun control and abortion rights. She also mentioned her support for criminal justice reform and marriage equality.

Clinton campaigned in New Haven Saturday at a local business on Temple Street. She was joined by Rep. Rosa Delauro and other officials.

"A lot of the families that I know, that I meet with, I hear from, are juggling all those family responsibilities," Clinton said during the event. "So, I think it is way past time that we have a raise in the nationwide minimum wage."

Her Democratic opponent, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, visited New Haven Sunday and is set to campaign in Hartford on Monday.
