Closing arguments are underway in the Jose Morales murder trial in Milford.
Morales is accused of killing girlfriend Christine Holloway at her Ansonia home in December 2019. Morales and Holloway had a daughter named Vanessa, who disappeared during the crime.
Prosecutors took just over seven days to present evidence. Crime scene photos, DNA evidence and Morales' first interview with police were all part of the state's case.
The defense rested after only two witnesses, including Morales.
Morales testified that two unknown intruders got into Holloway's house while he was high on PCP.
Morales said one intruder killed Holloway and that the other one kidnapped Vanessa Morales.
News 12's Marissa Alter will have more on court developments later tonight.
