WHAT'S NEW: Connecticut will be in the battle zone between a high pressure and the remnants of Helene to the south through Wednesday. For the most part, high pressure wins out. Only a few sprinkles/isolated showers will be around Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will remain seasonable.
WHAT'S NEXT: A cold front will then pass on Wednesday. This will usher in a bright, blue sky and warmer temperatures as winds switch out of the cooler northeast direction for the warmer westerly directions. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s Thursday and Friday. Our next shot of rain will come on Saturday with a cold front. This will likely be light rain or spotty showers for part of the day or night. No soaking rain is expected until Oct. 10, at least.
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy with a few p.m. sprinkles or light rain showers. Highs will be in the upper 60s to around 70.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy with sprinkles. Up to one hour of rain is possible (not a definite) from 5 p.m. to midnight. Highs in the upper 60s.
THURSDAY: Sunny with highs in the mid-70s.
FRIDAY: High clouds with sunshine. Highs in the upper-70s.
SATURDAY: Light rain or spotty showers around. It won't be a washout. Highs in the low 70s.
SUNDAY: Sunnier and seasonable. Highs in the upper 60s.
