A coalition called
Unrig Bridgeport gathered at McLevy Green Tuesday to launch what they're calling The Year of Change.
Organizers say they will endorse candidates for mayor, City Council and the board of education.
"We're looking for real progressive change. We're looking for candidates who value what we value. We are looking for candidates that are going to fund our education, improve public safety, improve our roads. We are looking for candidates who are going to say no to corruption and just move it out of the way," said Gemeem Davis, of Bridgeport Generation Now Votes.
The group includes local leaders and several community organizations.
