Community groups in Norwalk are teaming up to collect supplies for students in need.
The Mid-Fairfield Substance Abuse Coalition and the Community Prevention Task Force are collecting backpacks and other supplies for kids living in the Washington Village and Roodner Court public housing complexes.
Organizers say they hope to collect 250 backpacks by next Friday.
