Gov. Ned Lamont and Treasurer Erick Russel announced a partnership with the Community Health Center Association of Connecticut in support of Baby Bonds.

Community health centers all throughout Connecticut will offer information on Baby Bonds to all their patients.

The Baby Bonds program launched in July 2023.

Each child gets an initial investment, which will grow into their adulthood for life-improving purposes.

Any child whose birth is covered by HUSKY is automatically enrolled.

“We want to give them [families] the very best head-start and baby bonds are part of that, and maybe you want to use that $15,000 to start up a nail salon or help with your college education," said Lamont.

Treasure Rick Russel said their main goal is to make sure people are aware of the program.
