Members of the Stamford community came together on the court for a cause Wednesday.
Kids from middle school age and up brought their 'A' game to Lione Park for Ball for Justice. Some former NBA players were also invited to the event.
For some of the players, it was the first time on the court for an organized event since the pandemic started.
Organizers of the tournament wanted to give younger athletes a chance to have their voices heard.
Wilner Joseph, of Young Athletes for Change, says the event brings awareness about police brutality and helps get the kids outside to express themselves.
Stamford's police chief and several officers were also on hand to show support.
