Some Bridgeport residents are coming together Sunday to help a disabled senior citizen reclaim his independence.

Jack Wilson, 78, has a wide array of serious medical conditions including heart disease and asthma. He needs a wheelchair to get around. 

He's unable to afford a wheelchair ramp to bypass the five steps on the front porch of his home on Black Rock Avenue.

Members of Wilson's community are coming together to ask for help raising the money to get an aluminum ramp installed at Wilson's home.
