The Bridgeport community came together Saturday to paint a mural in "The Hollow."

The Bridgeport Housing Authority sponsored the effort, which is part of a project that aims to beautify a wall that surrounds the Greene Homes community.

Organizers say it's great to see so many people coming together for such a great cause.

"Our Greene Homes children have designed this new logo for the Greene Homes, and they've come out from miles around Bridgeport to help paint this mural, and it'll be here for years to come," said Jillian Baldwin, CEO of Park City Communities.

"This mural is not only beautiful but it's brought the whole community here in the Hollow together," said Mayor Joe Ganim.

Organizers say a grant made the mural possible.
