With the 2024 Paris Olympics officially kicking off Friday, Connecticut will be well represented by more than two dozen athletes competing on the world stage.
Stratford native Alyssa Naeher will be aiming for her third Olympic medal as a member of the U.S. women's soccer team. The 36-year-old goalkeeper has already won bronze in Tokyo in 2020 and played in the Rio Games in 2016.
Greenwich will be represented in women's field hockey by 21-year-old Beth Yeager. The former Sacred Heart student and current Princeton field hockey star was named to the U.S. Women's National Team last June.
