Connecticut leaders say they're hoping that the Democrats and Republicans will be able to come together to get things done once President-elect Joe Biden is inaugurated Wednesday.
Democratic state Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff and Republican state Sen. Tony Hwang, who don't always agree on everything, say they can agree on one thing - bipartisanship.
Biden recently addressed the nation recently after the riots at the U.S. Capitol. Local politicians say a peaceful transition of power tomorrow is important for our country.
Hwang says it's important first for this presidency to heal. Duff also says our economy needs a boost.
Both state senators say an effective means of exchanging ideas, starting with state governments, will also lead our nation in the right direction.
