News 12 meteorologists are tracking a storm that's expected to bring some wintry weather to Connecticut Tuesday evening into early Wednesday.
On Tuesday, expect increasing clouds as a weak coastal storm moves in. Expect some rain developing during the evening. The current forecast calls for this by around 7 p.m., before the rain changes to a wintry mix and wet snow overnight. The snow could be briefly heavy before the storm quickly pulls away Wednesday morning.
At this time, western Connecticut can expect to see minor snow accumulations on the order of a few inches, but any deviations in the storm's track or amount of moisture will affect accumulation totals and impacts, so stay with News 12 for the very latest.
The precipitation tapers off early Wednesday, and the rest of the day will see clearing skies with windy conditions and colder temperatures in the upper-30s to near 40. A few flurries or passing snow showers are possible.
