Residents planning to hit the road this holiday weekend will be paying nearly $1 more for a gallon of gas then they did last year. Despite the high gas prices, many motorists say they will still follow through with their holiday plans. The I-95 rest stops in Fairfield and Milford were filled with drivers Thursday filling up their tanks. Many say although they are paying more at the pump, it is still cheaper than flying.Megaera Regan, who is headed to Guilford from New York City, says she's not happy about spending the extra cash on gas, but it won't stop her from enjoying herself.
