The Connecticut Sun held a press conference today welcoming Brittney Griner to the team.

The 10-time WNBA All-Star signed with the team for its final season before the franchise moves to Houston in 2027.

Griner also won Gold with the U.S. Women's team in the past three Olympics.

The all-star said she knows it will be an emotional final season for Sun fans, and she wants to honor the team's legacy.

"Something was built here that was rich and was done the right way and fans you know they don't want to see it go and I can respect that." she stated. "And that's why we're going to do the best we can to give them an amazing performance this season and highlight them, highlight the fans, highlight the players that have come before us."
