Lawmakers are moving to right the wrongs of the deadly witch hunts of the 1600s.
The Connecticut Witch Trial Exoneration Project Wednesday pushed for a resolution clearing their ancestors' record.
"The four young children of Mary Barnes experienced the destruction of their family life. The youngest daughter, Hannah Barnes, was 6 years old when her mother was taken away to Hartford to be hanged."
The legislation is only a resolution. Some Republicans are still worried that people convicted of other crimes will ask to be cleared too.
